Health and Safety at WCC VIII and the Cornea & Eye Banking Forum 2022
The Cornea Society is committed to the health and well-being of our meeting attendees, exhibitors, staff and meeting contractors. The Cornea Society Board of Directors has determined that proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for all those attending World Cornea Congress VIII and Cornea & Eye Banking Forum 2022 in Chicago.
Due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 situation, additional specific safety protocols for WCC VIII and CEBF 2022 may be announced closer to the meetings. All decisions will be based on best practices as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and mandates from both the State of Illinois and City of Chicago.
CDC Definition of Fully Vaccinated
By Sept. 28, you must be 2 weeks post your final dose in your primary series. In most cases, this means you will need to have completed your primary series of vaccination by Sept. 14. If you will not be fully vaccinated by Sept. 14, email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Any of the accepted vaccines listed on the WHO Emergency Use List will be accepted for entry to WCC VIII and CEBF 2022 as long as you’ve had your final shot by Sept. 14.
International attendees should always check current travel restrictions to the U.S. on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website before planning your travel to make sure you will be able to enter the U.S.
Find more information for international attendees on the AAO website.
